Mars MD company has been producing search sensors for metal detectors for various manufacturers since 2010. In 2013 it began to produce its own line of metal detectors. The company’s products are now produced not only for the Ukrainian market, but also for consumers in Europe, North America, and Asia.
Customer’s problem
The customer needed to produce an aluminum section prototype for the rapid production of high-quality sensor components. The company’s engineers tried different types of 3D printing, but they did not give the required quality and detail.
Problem solution
The customer turned to Infomir 3D Printing for help. The required product was printed on an HP Jet Fusion 5210 industrial 3D printing line using PA12 polyamide. The technology and material allows for the production of parts with high detail (up to 1200 DPI). The finished products are strong and durable, as well as being resistant to both UV and moisture.
Result
The section prototype was printed, processed, and delivered to the customer within five business days. The final product fully met the customer’s technical requirements. Thanks to Infomir 3D Printing, the customer received a high-quality prototype, and saved time and money on component testing.
