Skyman is a Ukrainian startup that manufactures digital altimeters. Skydivers use these devices to measure flight altitude.
Client’s problem
The company needed a case prototype for the altimeters they manufacture. The printing had to be precise (0.1 mm error margin) and quick, which meant molding wasn’t an option because it would take weeks and cost tens of thousands of dollars. On top of that, a new model would require another mold if the original model didn’t fit.
Solution
The company passed the order for altimeter cases to Infomir 3D Printing. Upon receiving the 3D model, printing, sanding, and shipping the products took just five days. The MJF process ensured their precision and durability.
Result
